Star Wars: Episode IX Character Description Reveals Growth For Rey, Kylo Ren, Jannah And Others

Character descriptions for Star Wars: The Last Jedi have begun making their way online and it looks like we're going to see how much Rey (Daisy Ridley), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Finn (John Boyega), and Poe (Oscar Isaac) have improved since Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The new leak even reveals the backstory for Naomi Ackie's new brand new Star Wars character, Jannah.

SFX Magazine was present during Rise of Skywalker Triple Force Friday Global Reveal yesterday and the Mickey Mouse House offered a brand new look at some of the character descriptions for the film.

In Episode IX Rey is still studying the "Jedi ways," however, doubt begins to take over her as she "grows concerned about what the future – and the Force – may hold for her." Not only does the description seem to tease the possibility of Dark Rey, but it also seems to confirm the rumors that Rey may continue her training with Leia (Carrie Fisher) in the movie.

Kylo Ren, on the other hand, is dealing with his new role as the First Order's Supreme Leader, juggling his responsibility as he "continues to search for secrets of the Force." Finn is now fully committed to the Resistance, and Poe has finally learned how to lead the organization under General Organa's guidance.

The description for Jannah says that she comes "from an oceanic moon," and that she "leads a band of warriors ready to charge against the forces of the First Order."

It looks like we're going to see more mature versions of Rey, Kylo Ren, Finn, and Poe in The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
