Star Wars Episode IX: Billy Dee Williams Gives Update on His Training

After the loss of Carrie Fisher, there was a huge hole that had to be filled in Star Wars Episode IX. Lucasfilm's apparent solution was to bring back loveable smuggler Lando Calrissian to be reprised by Billy Dee Williams.

Williams had undergone training to get in shape for the film, and he gives us a tiny update on his health with this tweet:

In the photo with Williams is Gunnar Peterson, and he has served as trainer for actors like Hugh Jackman, Bruce Willis, and Sylvester Stallone. He's also worked with women like Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie, and Sofia Vergara.

We don't know to what capacity Lando is going to be in the film, but after Solo: A Star Wars Story, we know that he has a more personal connection with the Falcon. If I were to make any guesses, I would think that the Millennium Falcon would be destroyed in Episode IX—with Lando piloting it in a fight against the First Order.

Then again, my guess is just as good as anyone's.

Star Wars Episode IX is directed by J.J. Abrams and is expected to come out Dec. 20, 2019.
