Rian Johnson Slams Star Wars YouTuber Mike Zeroh Then Deletes Tweets

Rian Johnson has reasons for being defensive after the negative reactions to Star Wars: The Last Jedi. However, the director may have taken things too far when he slammed long-time Star Wars YouTuber Mike Zeroh on social media.

It all started when a fan asked Johnson on Twitter if his new Star Wars trilogy is still happening. The director confirmed that he is still working on the films but then things took a sudden turn when someone mentioned that Zeroh had posted a video suggesting the trilogy has been scrapped. Johnson reportedly laughed at the idea then began trashing the YouTuber. According to MovieWeb, he quickly deleted the tweets when fans defended Zeroh on social media.

Zeroh's videos deal with everything related to Star Wars, from fan theories to actual updates confirmed by Disney. The YouTuber isn't always right about his predictions but he has several followers who are ready to defend his cause. Unfortunately, Johnson's rude behavior towards Zeroh might have a negative effect on the trilogy. Nevertheless, Zeroh has continued making his own videos, even going as far as confirming that the new trilogy has not be canceled.

Not much is known about Johnson's new Star Wars trilogy. The new films are expected to feature Rey (Daisy Ridley) and a cast of new Force-sensitive characters. There are speculations that the movies could even bring back the little boy from Canto Bight who used the Force to grab his broom in The Last Jedi.

Johnson has not yet confirmed when the new trilogy will begin production. In the meantime, Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
