Star Wars Episode I: Racer Delayed AGAIN for PS4 and Nintendo Switch

If you're a Star Wars fan who owns a Nintendo Switch then you're probably wondering why Star Wars Episode I: Racer hasn't appeared on the eShop. Sadly, even though today was supposed to be its release date, the developers at Aspyr have announced that the game will be delayed for both PS4 and Switch. It's a sad day for Star Wars gamers everywhere, especially since there are barely any of these games on Switch right now.

According to the Aspyr social media page, the game has been delayed at the last minute due to "work from home requirements across the industry." While we are more than understanding about this, due to the current epidemic around the world, it is annoying how they announced a release date and decided not to fulfill that promise.

Once again, we don't blame them but they shouldn't have made it a last-minute announcement. Prior to the news, the game was only delayed for PS4 but that's obviously not the case anymore.

While it is annoying how the game is getting delayed, especially since it was supposed to come out today, we do hope they nail this game. Star Wars Episode I: Racer was one of the best N64 racing games and seeing it slightly remastered on newer consoles is everything we could dream of right now. Maybe it will lead to a proper remake one day but we'll take what we can get.

No release date for the re-release of Star Wars Episode I: Racer has been announced. The game is expected to come out on PS4 and Nintendo Switch on a later date.
