Star Wars' Doctor Aphra Returns to Marvel Comics Next Year

Doctor Aphra is one of the few original Star Wars characters created by the new Marvel comics and has become quite the fan-favorite. Originally introduced as a supporting character for the Darth Vader solo series, Aphra proved to be popular enough to get her own ongoing comic.

It seemed like things were going to end soon for Aphra thanks to the end of Marvel's Star Wars comics this year but we all know that a relaunch is coming in 2020 and Star Wars: Doctor Aphra is one of the comics confirmed for it.

Alyssa Wong, the new writer for this series, confirmed the news on her Twitter. She will be working with artist Marika Cresta and it will be coming out sometime in April 2020, which is still a long way away. Seriously, it's coming out after Final Fantasy VII Remake and before Marvel's Avengers.

Fans also showed their excitement for the news since Aphra has managed to find her way into the hearts of many Star Wars fans. The Doctor's grey morals have made for some interesting Star Wars stories and fans are hoping to see her in live-action soon. It's more likely that we will see her in an animated series or another tie-in book but you never know what could happen in the future.
