Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra is a fairly new character introduced in Darth Vader #3 back in 2015. She is set to make her return in the galaxy far, far, away; and this time, it's in the form of an epic audio drama.

StarWars.com recently announced that an audiobook from author Sara Kuhn will arrive this July, which follows the adventures of the archaeologist from the Darth Vader comic series. Despite being quite new to the Star Wars universe, Doctor Aphra quickly became a fan-favorite character, and now, in this audio drama, the focus is on her, along with some familiar faces.

The story of Doctor Aphra: An Audiobook Original will be based on Kieron Gallen and Salvador Larroca's Darth Vader comics, in which it will show what happens once Aphra ends up working for the Sith Lord. Kuhn says Aphra "is the definition of chaos" and is "charming to a fault." No one knows what she'll do next, which is why the author thinks Aphra is "having the most fun of anyone in the Star Wars galaxy."

Along with the announcement, Kuhn shared a video to give some more insight into what to expect from the audiobook. She wanted the format to "firmly" be in Aphra's POV. "What we hear is all filtered through her very colorful lens," Kuhn added. "And she is, of course, the most unreliable narrator ever."

The cast for the audiobook hasn't been revealed yet, though the Doctor Aphra audio drama will arrive as soon as July 21st.
