Star Wars: Disney May Have Removed Rose Tico From The Rise Of Skywalker Merchandise

Triple Force Friday is truly an exciting time for Star Wars fans especially since most of the merchandise is for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. However, some have noticed that there is someone who is sorely missing from the items. But is it possible that Disney has chosen to remove Rose Tico from all the new merch?

What is happening here? Let's start with the "REBEL" T-shirt that was supposed to feature Rose's image. The item was already previewed ahead of Triple Force Friday but when the day came, fans were surprised that the said T-shirt only featured the text.

But it's more than just about a T-shirt. People also noticed that Rose is nowhere to be seen in anything connected to the Resistance Heroes book. Likewise, there are no Rose toys or Funko POP! figurines.

Some have pointed out that Rose was not left out from the start. Unfortunately, she was deliberately erased sometime between the promotion of the merch and its actual release.

Granted, Rose isn't the most popular character in Star Wars. People reacted negatively to the character's introduction in Star Wars: The Last Jedi and it was so bad that actress Kelly Marie Tran withdrew from social media due to cyberbullying. Nevertheless, Tran has been greeted warmly in her recent appearances promoting The Rise of Skywalker. With that in mind, people are confused as to why Rose is being removed from the merch and have started that hashtag #WheresRose on Twitter.

Do you think Rose should be a part of the Rise of Skywalker merch? Sound off in the comments below.
