Star Wars: Disney+ has Once Again Altered the Han/Greedo Scene from A New Hope

Probably one of the most whined about things in Star Wars fandom was the change of the Cantina scene where Han Solo shoots Greedo. For years fans have been arguing about "Han shot first," and now Disney has made one more edit to the scene from A New Hope for their streaming service.

In the altered scene, Greedo is given the last word, and it looks like both he and Han shoot at the same time. Check it out:

Personally, I think arguing about the scene is kind of silly at this point. I mean, sure it changes a lot about Han's character when he would just shoot someone without warning, but I don't think it's something that should be a source of years of outrage and arguing.

Then again, this is the Star Wars fandom we're talking about, and no fandom gets as large as the franchise without getting toxic. We don't know what the magic formula is to get these fanboys to stop spewing so much hate online, but hopefully, we'll come to some kind of equilibrium in the future. If anything, non-toxic Star Wars fans do exist, but they're not as chatty as the toxic ones online; best keep that in mind.

For now, it looks like Star Wars has found a cushy home in Disney+. While there are more shows on the way, we do have the first episode of Jon Favreau's The Mandalorian available with a new chapter every week.

Disney+ is now available.
