Rian Johnson's fans received multiple updates lately, especially after the casting of Knives Out sequel has been released. Johnson's fans are even receiving more updates with throwbacks of his past works, specifically with Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Johnson sometimes posts photos from the movie set. His latest post was a hilarious face-swap image between him and actress Daisy Ridley who played Rey in the movie. Johnson wrote in the caption that his phone decided to remind him that four years ago from the day he posted that image, he and the actress used the face-swapped filter. The director jokingly added that it created the most cursed image of all time.
Fans of The Last Jedi are hoping to see Johnson's return in the Star Wars universe. He even mentioned in an interview with Sariah Wilson that he is interested in directing an episode of The Mandalorian.
Wilson said in a tweet that she asked Rian if is interested in directing an episode of The Mandalorian. The director told her that he wants to do it but the conflict comes down to the schedule. He has been working on Knives Out 2 and is about to go film it. Directing an episode will be a matter of the right time.
Moreover, Johnson also spoke to Dave Filoni about it. He visited The Mandalorian set in Season 1. The director noted that it was cool and even saw Grogu aka Baby Yoda many months before the reveal.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is available to watch on Disney+.
