Lucasfilm may have yet to announce the official release date of its Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spinoff series, but there have been several rumors going around talking about the upcoming production of Cassian Andor.
Speaking in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Showback on Friday, Rogue One's Captain Cassian Andor actor Diego Luna was asked to address one of the rumors that's been going up and down the mill. Putting Luna into a corner, The Tonight Show host asked the Star Wars actor whether "White Snake" would be the title of the series. Fallon might have made a mistake ( the rumors say that "White Snake" is the working title of the project) asking the question, but Luna seemed to balk when he was asked about the title. Deflecting, Luna tried to remind Fallon about the secrecy behind all Star Wars projects. Then he tried to make fun of the title, asking why anyone would want to name a Star Wars series "White Snake" when it sounded like an adult movie.
There's a whole lot of excitement building up over Cassian Andor. Fans loved Rogue One, and they couldn't help but love both Cassian Andor and his trusty droid, K-2SO. Now, Lucasfilm is preparing a brand new series focusing on Cassian's different missions as an agent of the Rebellion before the events of Rogue One.
Lucasfilm has yet to confirm the release date for Cassian Andor, but word has it that the series is set to debut sometime in 2021.
