Star Wars: Did Pedro Pascal Slip The Mandalorian's Real Name?

The name of Pedro Pascal's Mandalorian from the Disney+ show is being kept under wraps, with a big reveal probably set for the future. What's interesting is, it seems like Pascal himself has revealed the Mando's name in a behind-the-scenes interview that's out on Disney+.

Check it out:

For now, fans can make out the name "Din Jarren", but it could be very different when it comes to the official reveal. Take note that Pascal is sharing this story in the days of early development, so it's likely that the name could have changed at some point in the development process. Plus, with the way Disney is so secretive, it would be ridiculous if a reveal as big as this would be officially published.

With the Fett family being the legacy when it comes to the Mandalorians in Star Wars (though they aren't Mandalorians officially), it's interesting to see just who exactly this character is. If he's a new character, there would be no reason to hide his identity, and hiding the name could mean that he's someone familiar.

Then again, there's a lot of emphasis on the character "hiding behind his armor" so maybe having his name revealed is going to be some kind of symbolic ‘accepting of the self' when it finally happens in the show. I'm just guessing at this point.

For now, The Mandalorian has made a great debut with the first episode, and you can catch it right now on Disney+.
