Star Wars: Darth Vader is Attacked by the Emperor in Amazing Cosplay

Darth Vader's redemption in Return of the Jedi is probably one of the most triumphant moments in the Star Wars franchise, and someone has come up with this amazing cosplay having Vader electrocuted by the Emperor in his final moments.

The Force lighting was already a nice touch, but what really sells the costume is the smoke coming from the helmet. I don't really know how the cosplayer made the effect, but my guess is that he's strapped a vape pen to the inside of the helmet and puffs it whenever someone comes up to him.

I also love how he's strapped the lights to the helmet to make it look translucent—just like in the movie. Besides that, it looks like a regular Vader costume.

With cons filled to the brim with movie accurate Star Wars cosplayers, I'm actually happy to see more creative costumes like this hitting the floor. Sure some people would think twice before altering a costume that they own, but I'm sure this version if Vader is easy to put together and pull apart if needed.

While Vader's position in the Star Wars films is definitely over, some fans are holding on to some kind of cameo with movies down the line. He was originally supposed to appear as an Anakin/Vader Force ghost in The Force Awakens, and I imagine they could probably bring in the concept to the final movie.

Catch Star Wars Episode IX in theaters Dec. 20, 2019.
