There's no denying that the Star Wars franchise helped propel Daisy Ridley's career to the stratosphere and despite the fact that the sequel trilogy failed to stick the landing, it still turned the British actress into a household name in Hollywood. However, following the culmination of the Skywalker saga, Ridley has seemingly shied away from the spotlight but little do fans know that she's still actually active in the world of film.

In fact, following her involvement in Chaos Walking which co-starred Marvel actor Tom Holland, Ridley is leading an indie drama film titled Sometimes I Think About Dying (via Digital Spy) which has already wrapped production. Based on Kevin Armento's play Killers, the film follows the story of a young woman named Fran who is seemingly hell-bent on her own self-destruction. A far cry for sure from her role as Rey Skywalker.

It's nice to know that Daisy is still in the limelight but I gotta say, I miss seeing her in a high-profile role. Here's to hoping that she joins another huge franchise in the future, that is if her Star Wars journey is actually over. But with rumors of Lucasfilm developing a new film centered on the aftermath of the Skywalker saga, there's a good chance that we might see Rey back on the big screen.

Other reports also claim that Ridley is Marvel-bound as Jessica Drew aka Spider-Woman and while it's still unconfirmed, I have a good feeling that we'll once again see her in a huge franchise.
