Star Wars Conspiracy Theorists Claim They Have “Confirmation” That Disney Has An Anti-Luke Agenda

The Star Wars franchise has had its fair share of conspiracy theories, but before Star Wars: The Last Jedi made its big premiere one of the biggest topics in the fanbase used to be the prequel films.

Now it seems like one of the most recent conspiracy theories among fans who hated The Last Jedi is that Disney has an agenda against Luke Skywalker. Not only did theThe Last Jedi director Rian Johnson turn Luke into a bitter and jaded hermit, but the filmmaker also had the Star Wars legend killed in the film.

The conspiracy theorists' belief was further heightened after fans got to see an X drawn out over Luke's face in the most recent episode of Rebels Recon. Fans allegedly noticed an "X" mark drawn over Luke in a picture on the desk of one of Lucasfilm's desks, and theorists were quick to take this as a confirmation that Disney has actually been hating Luke.

The whole theory sounds a bit far-fetched though. Rebels Recon host Andi Gutierrez did mention that Lucasfilm employees are allowed to decorate their offices the way they want it - one employee even had Kylo Ren's head plopped inside the mouth of a dinosaur toy. That doesn't necessarily mean that Star Wars is going to crossover with Jurassic Park in Episode IX.

Lucasfilm social media team member Justin Bolger also came out on social media to acknowledge that the picture of the X-marked Luke had actually been on his desk, explaining that he had been a fan of the Galactic Empire and was personally against the Rebel Alliance.
