Star Wars Composer Reveals Awesome Rise of Skywalker Cameo

Just when you thought you've spotted all of the awesome cameos in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, another one has just been revealed. Composer Michael Giacchino has just confirmed that he was in the J.J. Abrams film and he had a truly cool role to boot.

Giacchino decided to greet Abrams on his birthday by sharing a photo of himself with the director from the set of The Rise of Skywalker. Take a look at his tweet below.

Not surprisingly, people were astounded to find out that Giacchino actually had a role as a Sithtrooper in Episode IX. Although it was understandable that nobody knew until yesterday, we're loving the idea that there were so many celebrities involved with The Rise of Skywalker.

Interestingly, Giacchino was also in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The composer played a Stormtrooper in Episode VII, most notably the one who shoved Poe Dameron into the ground in the opening scene.

Giacchino isn't the only Star Wars composer who appeared in The Rise of Skywalker. Fans were quick to spot John Williams in the cantina scene where he played a Kijimi bartender Oma Tres.

While Giacchino got a cool role as a Sithtrooper, there were also celebrities who played Stormtroopers in The Rise of Skywalker. Ed Sheeran, Dhani Harrison, Nigel Godrich, J. D. Dillard, and Dave Hearn all showed up to cameo as stormtroopers in the film.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is currently available for streaming on Disney+.
