Star Wars Composer John Williams To Return for Indiana Jones 5

We're finally getting more exciting updates about Indiana Jones 5. In addition to Harrison Ford returning as the titular character, Star Wars composer John Williams is coming back to one of his most beloved franchise.

Williams' return was confirmed by Lucasfilm along with the recent announcement about Phoebe Waller-Bridge being cast as the sequel's new female lead. This is truly great news considering that Williams has worked on every single Indiana Jones movie.

The return of the Star Wars composer is a welcome one since fans were disappointed about Steven Spielberg leaving Indiana Jones 5. After all, Williams has chosen to work exclusively with Spielberg since 2005 and his only movies that didn't involve the filmmaker were the Star Wars movies.

It's unfortunate that Spielberg will not be involved in Indiana Jones 5. Nevertheless, the project is in good hands now that James Mangold has signed up for the film. In addition to that, we're getting Ford and Williams working on the movie.

Mangold expressed his excitement about working on the project.

"I'm thrilled to be starting a new adventure, collaborating with a dream team of all-time great filmmakers," Mangold said. "Steven, Harrison, Kathy, Frank, and John are all artistic heroes of mine. When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can't help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself."

Indiana Jones 5 has not yet been given an official title nor a production start date. Nevertheless, the sequel is already scheduled to premiere on July 29, 2022.
