Star Wars Comic Shows How Boba Fett Can Return For The Mandalorian

Ever since Lucasfilm announced Star Wars: The Mandalorian, Star Wars fans have been hoping for a surprise appearance by the fan-favorite bounty hunter, Boba Fett.

Sure, he might have been killed after falling into the Sarlacc Pitt in Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi, but there are a lot of ways Disney can have the character return. If Lucasfilm can resurrect the wiry and wrinkled Palpatine in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, then why not resurrect Boba Fett?

Though we've yet to see Boba Fett return in Star Wars canon, Screen Rant highlights an Expanded Universe comic which shows just how Lucasfilm can have Boba Fett return.

Tom Vietch, Cam Kennedy, and Jim Baiki's Star Wars limited comic book series Dark Empire (1991) explores some major developments after the Return of the Jedi, and in the fourth issue of the series, readers get to see the comic opening with Boba Fett alive and well.

Greeting a very shocked Han Solo, Fett reveals how he was able to survive the Sarlacc.

"The Sarlaac found me somewhat indigestible, Solo," Fett reveals.

It might seem like a simple explanation, but Lucasfilm could use that to bring back Boba Fett for The Mandalorian. Boba Fett always seemed like a hardy kind of bounty hunter. It would make sense that he'd survive the Sarlacc Pitt. Having the Sarlacc spit him out alive because of his armor could help add to Mandalorian lore too.

What do you think? How should Star Wars resurrect Boba Fett? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
