Star Wars Comic Reveals How Luke's Lightsaber was Found on Bespin

Though Lucasfilm tried to answer every question with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, fans were still left with thing unanswered. For one, we still have no idea how Luke's lightsaber ended up with Maz. What's interesting is, it looks like the Star Wars comics are gearing up to reveal the answer.

As per Marvel's Star Wars #2, someone had found the saber on Cloud City when it fell down the shaft. We don't know who this particular someone is, but the comic is probably going to reveal it to us in the next issue. Check out this image:

As IGN speculates, it's possible that this could be someone's Force Ghost that picked up the lightsaber. We know that they're able to have touch things when it's convenient, and maybe this person knows the significance of the weapon. We also know that Maz is Force-sensitive, so it's possible she could be connected with this person as well.

Then again, I'm fine if the lightsaber had its own ‘journey' ever since it fell in Bespin. Maybe it went from place to place, ultimately ending up in Maz's castle. Knowing Star Wars and "Destiny" it's possible that it just found its way to Rey by being at the right place at the right time.

If you ask me, maybe Abrams could have just focused on answering this question rather than giving us the ‘Rey Palpatine' explanation. I thought it was the worst ret-con, and I'm kind of hoping we get some kind of directors' cut that presents the story better. As of now, I'm just convincing myself that TROS never happened.
