Star Wars: Colin Trevorrow Addresses Fan Reaction to Duel of the Fates Script

There is little doubt that Colin Trevorrow came up with an amazing script for Star Wars Episode IX before he left the project. Since the screenplay was revealed, fans have been praising the filmmaker's vision for the final film of the Skywalker Saga. So what does Trevorrow think of the fan reaction to his script? The Jurassic World: Dominion director has finally addressed all the praise for Duel of the Fates.

Colin Trevorrow is currently promoting Jurassic World: Dominion but he also took time to look back at a project he almost helmed. While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Trevorrow addressed the fans' reaction to what would have been Star Wars: Duel of the Fates.

"Honestly, if any director tells you that they don't care what the audience thinks, or even people who watch movies and write about them for a living, then I'm not sure if they're being fully honest with themselves," Trevorrow said.

"I do make these movies for audiences, but I also make them for people who think about films all the time and watch movies the way that I do. So yeah, absolutely," he continued.

"Any time you do something that's received well, it's going to encourage you and hopefully assure you that not only was there a reason why you started doing this in the first place, but your imposter syndrome is only partially real and you're not a complete fraud," Trevorrow added with a laugh. "And I think we all have those moments."

It's awesome to see that Colin Trevorrow still remains humble amidst all the success. Although we'll probably never get to see what Duel of the Fates would have been like, it is satisfying to know that Trevorrow will continue to push the envelope with his future projects.

Jurassic World Dominion is now screening in theaters worldwide.
