Alleged Star Wars: Duel of the Fates Concept Art has Finn Leading a Revolution

John Boyega has recently been making headlines after joining the #BlackLivesMatter protests in London, and everyone from Lucasfilm to J.J. Abrams are showing their support. With all the images of Boyega at the protests, it kind of looks similar to this alleged piece of concept art from the cancelled Star Wars: Duel of the Fates.

This was posted up by Collider's Steve Weintraub, and it's said to be concept art from Trevorrow's cancelled Star Wars movie:

While Finn's story gets sidelined in The Rise of Skywalker, he actually gets a more meaningful arc in Colin Trevorrow's original plans for Episode IX, what with Finn leading a revolution on Coruscant. I have to say, it's kind of meta that Fin ends up leading a revolution in real life; as compared to his canon ending where he kind of just screams ‘Rey!' a lot with no significant character arc.

Personally, I admire Boyega's use of his platform as a celebrity to affect some actual change to the status quo. While celebs usually like to play safe and be ‘presentable' online, Boyega has not had any qualms about getting his message out, even going so far as to swear at his critics who call him out for not being ‘kid-friendly'.

We don't know how these #BlackLivesMatter protests are going to end, but hopefully it leads to some meaningful change soon. While some states have been handling their protests peacefully, it's absolute chaos in some others, with rioting and looting going rampant all over the streets.

Did I also mention COVID-19 is still happening?
