Star Wars Celebration Will Reportedly Drop Details About New Jedi Project

45 years after its official launch and the Star Wars franchise continues to be one of the most dominant, if not the most dominant science-fiction properties out there. Sure, the franchise has had its fair share of ups and downs over the last couple of years but thanks to Lucasfilm's streaming deal with Disney+, the tables were eventually turned, and dare I say for the better. Now, apart from the MandoVerse, the future of Star Wars as a whole is still a huge mystery to a lot of fans but according to a new leak, Lucasfilm is cooking up a new project which will be officially announced next month.

According to Making Star Wars, the upcoming Star Wars Celebration will feature a panel discussing a project titled Tales of the Jedi. During the outlet's discussion on YouTube, Star Wars Santa pointed out that the panel will be taking place on May 27th, the second day of the annual spectacle which makes its triumphant return after a two-year absence.

As it stands, information regarding the mysterious project remains scarce but Making Star Wars is also speculating that it'll be somewhat related to Fallen Order. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Judging by its title alone, it seems like Tales of the Jedi will be Lucasfilm's answer to Marvel Studios' What If...? but that's just my speculation. Hopefully, I'm proven wrong and we'll instead get a live-action series or even film.

Star Wars Celebration will make its return from May 26 to 29 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
