Star Wars Celebration Commemorating 20 Years Of The Phantom Menace With Special Panel

There's another reason why Star Wars fans should look forward to this year's Star Wars Celebration. Not only is the Star Wars convention possibly bringing with it the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX, but the Chicago-based fan event is also hosting a special spotlight panel for Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

For those who don't remember, this year is the 20th anniversary of Star Wars' first prequel trilogy installment, and what better way to celebrate the event by hosting a special panel for the movie at this year's Star Wars Celebration?

Posting on its official Twitter account, Star Wars Celebration reminds fans that they ought to be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the movie by attending the panel rightfully named Phantom Menace Monday.

Released back in May 1999, the Phantom Menace started an entirely new trilogy of Star Wars movies, catching the attention of a new generation of fans around the globe.

Though we're not quite sure what Lucasfilm might bring to the Monday panel, we're fairly certain that a few members of Phantom Menace's cast and crew are going to be part of the gathering. After all, what kind of panel would it be without any of the film's main stars in sight?

Hopefully, this means the appearance of a few Star Wars favorites like Liam Neeson who played Qui-Gon Jinn, Ewan McGregor, the prequel's Obi-Wan Kenobi, and of course, Natalie Portman, the actress who played the young Amidala in the movie.

Star Wars Celebration 2019 is going to be held at Chicago's McCormick Place West from April 11 to 15.
