The much-awaited Star Wars Celebration 2022, also known as Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, would be arriving sooner rather than later as the official Star Wars fan event changes its schedule from August to May of next year.
One of the events affected by the coronavirus pandemic was the Star Wars Celebration which was supposed to happen in August last year. It was supposed to be an in-person event but due to the health hazard posed by the pandemic, it was canceled. In June 2020, it was announced that the event will be scheduled on August 2022, a much later date and not gambling on a 2021 schedule for a better chance of having such an event in person with hopes of the pandemic easing at such time.
Now that the vaccination for COVID-19 started rolling, StarWars.com announces that there is a new date for the fan event and it would be happening in the same month as Star Wars Day.
In a short but concise post, StarWars.com declares that the new dates would be May 26 to 29, 2022 instead of the first schedule released which was August 18-21, 2022. This means that those with tickets to the events already would automatically have a change in their schedule.
Those who would seem to have a problem with the new dates have an option to refund their ticket through StarWarsCelebration.com. Ticket refund requests are to be submitted to the organizers before June 11, 2021, where the ticket holders would be instructed through email.
Star Wars Celebration 2022 will be the same in-person event and the organizers have released health and safety information on their websites such as face coverings, temperature screenings, sanitation standards, physical distancing, distance marking, signages, and no-touch greetings.
