The MandoVerse's expansion cannot be stopped and after taking the first step last year with the release of The Book of Boba Fett, Lucasfilm is bringing two more spinoff projects set within The Mandalorian's timeline with Skeleton Crew and Ahsoka. Unsurprisingly, the beloved series could spawn more shows in the coming years and as per a new rumor, the spotlight will finally be put on a fan-favorite character.

According to an alleged leak shared by Making Star Wars (via Star Wars Meg), the next spinoff project codenamed "Ghost Track 17" reportedly being developed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will be centered on Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan Kryze and her ascension to the Mandalore throne. Now, there's a spoiler for you.

The outlet claims that by the end of The Mandalorian Season 3, Bo-Katan will regain possession of the Darksaber after battling Din Djarin for it. She's also said to be sporting a new mythosaur armor. As it stands though, it remains unclear when the series will drop but there's a good chance that it will get released after The Mandalorian Season 4.

Rumors surrounding a Bo-Katan show have been circulating since last year and even Fennec Shand actress Ming=Na Wen seemingly revealed Lucasfilm's massive plans for the character.

Considering Favreau and Filoni are determined to expand the MandoVerse, giving Sackhoff her own series makes all the sense in the world and it would be foolish on the production company's part not to capitalize on her hype and popularity. This year's Star Wars Celebration is shaping up nicely.

Meanwhile, the third season of The Mandalorian is hitting Disney+ on March 1, 2023.
