The unprecedented success of The Mandalorian left the door wide open for its creators to expand the universe most fans refer to as the "MandoVerse". As it stands, the Pedro Pascal-led series has already given birth to several spinoff projects, including last year's The Book of Boba Fett and if it wasn't obvious enough, there are major plans to diversify the said universe.

Now, a new rumor suggests that apart from the upcoming shows that are set to premiere this year, the MandoVerse will continue to spawn spinoff projects overseen by the show's creatives.

According to a new scoop posted on insider Daniel Richtman's official Patreon page (via The Direct), the dynamic duo behind The Mandalorian Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are developing a brand new series that will further expand the MandoVerse.

As it stands, key details about the project have not been disclosed but the show is rumored to have the working title "Ghost Track 17". It's a little too early to speculate what the show will be about, especially given how vague the title is so I guess we'll just have to wait for future updates.

Previous reports have claimed that Favreau and Filoni are plotting a huge crossover event for the MandoVerse with upcoming shows like Skeleton Crew and Ahsoka having major ramifications on the events of The Mandalorian's fourth season.

As for the new project they're developing, it would be safe to assume that it will revolve around new sets of characters although we're not quite sure if it actually takes place around the same time as The Mandalorian.

Meanwhile, the third season of The Mandalorian is hitting Disney+ on March 1, 2023.
