Star Wars Battlefront II Working on 'Dual-Wielding Pistol Tech'

The game may have caught a snag upon release, but Star Wars Battlefront II is thriving, and DICE is planning on bringing more things to the game. During a community transmission, it was confirmed that the developers are working on ‘dual-wielding pistol tech.'

Dual Pistols.... mhh... Interesting

The news immediately had everyone guessing which heroes in Star Wars were notorious for wielding two pistols. Jango Fett is probably the most popular one in the list, next to that are characters like Captain Rex and Cad Bane (Clone Wars), plus Sabine (Rebels). This is also just wishful thinking, but I would be happy if Beckett from Solo also became a playable hero.

If anything, Battlefront II has a lot of material to draw from, but it's just the case of developing these characters and releasing them in a timely manner. For now, gamers are expecting the arrival of Grievous this month, but that's only after months of waiting. The last heroes to arrive, Finn and Phasma, came out back in December with The Last Jedi season. I haven't even talked about the heroes from the first game that haven't made it to the sequel. Where's Jyn Erso, Krennic, Nien Nunb, Greedo, and Dengar?

With all this talk of Battlefront II being a ‘dead game', it sure is thriving. Hopefully, with the release of Battlefield V, some devs can come back and work on more updates for SWBFII.

General Grievous comes out Oct. 30.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
