Star Wars Battlefront II Confirms Arrival Date for New Game Mode Plus Dooku Skin

Anakin Skywalker may have arrived recently, but he was expected to drop alongside a ‘massive' new game mode which was, unfortunately, delayed. The mode is set to come to the game later this month though, and we have a new Community Calendar giving us the exact date of the arrival.

Besides all the upcoming XP boosters, the unnamed game mode has been confirmed to arrive on March 26. The description reads:

Players will be able to fight across the surface of a planet and take down enemy capital ships to secure victory.

We don't know exactly how this mode will play out, but a lot of players are hoping it will finally allow players to mount ships, drive them into larger capital ships, and take the beast down from the inside. There's also some rumbling going around of the use of classic ‘capture points' from the old game.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see to believe it.

Besides the new game mode, the same date will also bring us a new skin for Dooku in the form of his sleepwear from The Clone Wars. Admittedly Dooku doesn't have that much skins in any media, so you have to appreciate the devs for trying. Personally I would prefer if they just gave him a skin that's original to the game, much like Han Solo's bearded look or Leia's default attire.

For now, catch Star Wars Battlefront II now available for Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
