EA Won't Have an E3 Conference This Year

EA Games has gained a not-so-good reputation for putting on the dullest E3 conferences, with second place usually going to a publisher like Ubisoft (gotta show off Just Dance every year!). This is a bit shocking since fans were hoping to see more of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order but since that game will be revealed during Star Wars Celebration, it wouldn't be as impactful in E3.

Instead of a conference, EA is taking a play from Nintendo's book and showing off their games via livestreams. The company is also planning an EA Play event before E3, which has been a tradition for a number of years. According to the EA, the intention is to offer more gameplay to viewers.

The EA Play fan-fest will happen on June 8 and 9, with a number of unannounced games that will be playable for attendees. Fans are hoping that Jedi: Fallen Order will be one of the playable demos in the event, along with a number of other games that the company is often associated with.

Oddly enough, EA isn't the only major company skipping the event. Sony announced that they would not have much of a presence this year since the company doesn't have many games to show. With Days Gone coming out next month, there are only a few games left for the company to show unless they have something else planned.
