Star Wars Battlefront Gets a Huge Patch With Death Star DLC

The latest DLC for Star Wars Battlefront is finally here, and it brings some exciting new locations and weapons that you can play around with.

Just before you dive in to the new content, EA has also released the patch notes that come with the new expansion, and it's quite a long list. Available for the PS4, PC, and Xbox One, the patch introduces all the detailed add-ons with the expansion.

The Death Star Expansion Pack brings five new multiplayer maps leading to space and the Death Star. These are Imperial Blockade, Defense Sector, Power Sector, Command Sector, and Death Star Surface.

Everyone already knows that there will be two new heroes, the Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk and Han Solo's pal Chewbacca. But EA has revealed some new screenshots of the weapons. There's the K-16 Bryar Pistol and the TL-50 Heavy Repeater, which differ in the way they hail down ammo on enemies.

There are also two new hero vehicles, which include Darth Vader's TIE Advanced X1 and Luke Skywalker's Red Five X-wing. Both of the vehicles have their wing men, which have a spawn option so long as the vehicles are present.

The patch also introduces six new Hutt Contracts and a full course of general changes that resolve bugs. The Fighter Squadron and Battle Station have seen new power-ups for both the rebel and imperial sides.

For stats, the ranks have been increased by 20 to become 90. New visual unlocks have also been added, such as a Stormtrooper with pauldrons, the X-wing Pilot and the Death Star Trooper. Details of the entire patch can be seen here.
