Justice League Spoof Trailer Overdoses on the Snickers

The San Diego Comic-Con 2016 trailer was awesome and gave us goosebumps. Then we saw YouTuber UpIsNotJump recreate the Justice Leaguetrailer in Fallout 4.

Now we have an animated spoof the same trailer, thanks to YouTuber ArtSpear Entertainment. Before you press play, the fact that it’s titled Jackass League should already be fair warning.

It has some good laughs though, such as Arthur Curry denying with so many words the existence of Aquaman instead of Jason Momoa’s gruff grunts. There’s Barry Allen’s similarly-named secret hidden twin brother Barry who doesn’t have superpowers—and thus gets killed by Batman.

There are a couple of cameos as well. Cyborg’s “does not compute” and X-Files background music makes him the hero of this piece. And Arthur’s denial of his powers really hurt Dory.

My favorite of all the spoofs would have to be Batman’s “I’m real when it’s useful.” Of course, when someone takes you up on that question and asks, like Cyborg did, be prepared to answer.

Afterwards, there’s a nice conversation among the Justice League members as to why the real reason why Batman assembled the team. Be warned, it’s all a high school grudge for the man who took Batman’s high school crush.

DC’s Geoff Johns did tease that DC movies will lighten up later on, so I guess this is a nice practice for fans to see. We all loved the original trailer—and yes, this parody trailer all the more—so hopefully director Zack Snyder can deliver on Johns’ promise.

Justice League will be out in theaters on Nov. 17, 2017. It stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, and Henry Cavill.
