Star Wars Battlefront 2 Dev Isn’t Shooting Down This Possible Feature

EA and DICE's sequel title Star Wars: Battlefront 2 may be changing up a few mechanics and even the focus of the game. But from the looks of it, there is one feature that is still possible despite the new direction it's taking.

Eurogamer conducted a big interview with single-player game director Mark Thompson, Lucasfilm's Steve Blank, and Criterion's Matt Webster to talk a little more about what the sequel will get fans into.

Towards the end, it's almost like a small shout-out, but the question veered into virtual reality territory. Webster did give a response when asked if there will be virtual reality, but it was very coy and still very vague:

"We are not talking about VR at the moment for Battlefront 2. That's a story for another day."

This is basically a confirmation that VR is coming to Star Wars: Battlefront 2. It seems like the only thing that's being contested is when it will appear. The other clue here is that Criterion was also responsible for creating the VR add-on for the PS4 version of the original title. The VR version was released for the PSVR, which was an exclusive single-player mission that was related to Rogue One.

We'll have to wait and see if this will push through, and where the VR will be released. But I'm sure that it will be even more epic than the last, especially since players will now be taking the Dark Side of the arena.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be out on Nov. 17.
