Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back made its debut on May 21, 1980, marking its 40th anniversary this year. Several interviews and merchandise were released to commemorate the event. And to get fans more hyped up, Star Wars has announced the release of another From a Certain Point of View anthology collection.

Revealed on StarWars.com, the second Star Wars movie will get the From a Certain Point of View treatment, featuring 40 stories from 40 authors. The anthology series retells the events of Empire Strikes Back through the eyes of background characters, from heroes, villains, droids, and creatures. The proceeds of the book sales will be donated to the First Book, a non-profit that provides books and learning materials to educators and organizations who help children in need.

Fans of the first book who have been wanting to see a version for Empire Strikes Back ought to be delighted with this announcement. This anthology series gives the opportunity to expand and learn more about the film, adding a layer of depth to what is considered the fan-favorite Star Wars film.

The full list of authors will be revealed this June 16, while From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back is set for release on November 10.
