Star Wars: Andor Series Reportedly Renewed for Season 2

We're still waiting for Andor, the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story spin-off series that will bring back Diego Luna. However, it looks like we'll be expecting a second season in the future. Stellan Skarsgard has just revealed that the show is already getting a Season 2!

Skarsgard is one of the previously confirmed cast members of the upcoming Star Wars series and it looks like his character will be playing a huge role in the show. In an interview with Dagens Nyheter, the Dune star revealed he has a busy schedule this year.

"We start with Dune 2 in July. And then in the autumn, it's time for the second season of the Star Wars series Andor," Skarsgard said.

It's great to know that the Dune sequel is set to begin production soon. However, it's interesting to note that Disney and Lucasfilm are ready to begin working on Andor Season 2 even before the first season has been given an official release date. With that in mind, the show might be following a storyline that will last several seasons. This also means it could lead up to the events right before Rogue One.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time that Andor has been teased to have a second season. Alan Tudyk had previously confirmed that his character K-2SO will not be in Season 1 but could be introduced in the following season.

For now, we don't know much about Andor other than that it will reveal how Cassian Andor ended up joining the Rebels. The series will also star Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, and Kyle Soller. Genevieve O'Reilly is set to return as Mon Mothma, the former Republic senator who helped found the Rebel Alliance. In addition to that, Forrest Whitaker will be back as Saw Gerrera.

Andor has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
