One of the upcoming Star Wars series that is set to be released is Andor, the prequel series to Rogue One focusing on a younger Cassian Andor in the rebellion years. While the plot details are still under wraps, we do know that it's already getting a second season and it looks like we know now when they are going to start filming.
According to Making Star Wars, the second season of Andor is set to start filming this November at Elstree Studios in the UK. They also heard that the production time will take 18 months although it is unclear whether it covers one season or if it includes another Star Wars project that will also be filmed at the same time or after the series finishes.
Elstree Studios is known as the studio where iconic films such as Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Flash Gordon, The Shining, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Dark Cyrstal, Return of the Jedi, and many more were shot. This is certainly a return for the Star Wars franchise as they are reportedly set to film in this location.
We do have to take note that this hasn't been confirmed by Lucasfilm nor reported by the major trades, but Making Star Wars has been pretty much reliable when it comes to scoops regarding the franchise and there have been reports that the production for the second season was set to happen this year.
