What Happened Before Star Wars: Andor Episode 8?
In Star Wars: Andor Episode 7, Announcement, Karn gets a new job in Coruscant at the Imperial Standards Bureau which has strict surveillance and authority over their personnel.
Meero receives a challenge from Blevin after she broke the protocol looking at the data involving thefts and she defends herself by saying that she has the power of oversight on Ferrix which means her work is valuable to her superiors.
Meanwhile, Vel meets with the assistant of Rael only to receive an instruction to kill Cassian so the identity of Rael will remain hidden. As for Cassian, he goes back to Ferrix to pay some debts and he learns from Bix that everyone is blaming him for what happened there.
Cassian asks Maarva to come with him and leave Ferrix but he couldn't do anything to convince her so Cassian leaves to Niamos, a tropical tourist paradise. However, he gets arrested for a minor offense after being confronted by Imperial troops and he receives a penalty of six years of imprisonment.
