Star Wars' Adam Driver Walks Out of Interview Over Clip from Marriage Story

Netflix has kind of timed the release of Marriage Story close to the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and both films star Hollywood enigma Adam Driver. Just in, news has come out that Driver had walked out of an interview over a clip of Marriage Story being played.

According to The Daily Beast, sources from NPR had revealed that Driver had walked out of an interview with Fresh Air after they played a clip of him singing in Marriage Story. The clip is apparently that of Driver singing Being Alive from the musical Company.

Apparently, the team was aware that Driver prefers not to listen to recordings of himself, and everyone was kind of caught off guard that he would leave. EP Danny Miller had this to say about Driver's exit:

"We don't really understand why he left… We were looking forward to the interview—Terry thinks he's a terrific actor, he was a great guest when he was on [Fresh Air] in 2015—so we were disappointed that we didn't have a new interview to share with our listeners about Marriage Story."

If anything, I think fans kind of give Driver the pass for not being so charismatic, seeing that his characters—especially Kylo Ren—are not the friendliest of types. Even his character in Marriage Story is kind of detached, but nonetheless, it's still great acting.

For now, fans wait for Driver's final performance as Ben Solo in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which comes out Dec. 20. You can catch Marriage Story now on Netflix.
