It looks like Disney Star Wars sequel trilogy star Daisy Ridley finally has a brand new movie now that she's done with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Episode IX just completed its theatrical release a few months ago, and now that the House of Mouse's Star Wars sequel trilogy's finally come to an end, Ridley is free to work on movies outside of the Star Wars franchise.
While most fans would want to see Ridley star either in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or in the DC Expanded Universe, it seems like the British actress' first film after The Rise of Skywalker has nothing to do with either comic book movie film franchises.
According to a report by Deadline, Ridley is currently in talks to play a part in The Ice Beneath Her. The movie is supposed to be a crime-thriller based on a book with the same name written by Swedish author Camilla Grebe. The Ice Beneath Her follows the story of a detective and psychological profile who are in the middle of an investigation of a woman found beheaded in the house of a well-known businessman.
Ridley hasn't taken the project just yet, however, if the actress does, then this will be the second crime thriller/ whodunit movie that Ridley's starred in.
The Ice Beneath Her might not be part of a major film franchise, but this project is definitely going to be a test for Ridley now that she's out of the Skywalker saga.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is available on Digital HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
