Baby Yoda is arguably the cutest Star Wars creature we've seen to date but his recent actions in Season 2 of The Mandalorian raised quite a few eyebrows — well, scratch that as A LOT of fans were apparently disgusted by what he did. In case you haven't been keeping up with the show, the second episode titled "The Passenger" saw The Child munch on Frog Lady's eggs and it was quite an unsettling scenario for some viewers.

Now, the Skywalker saga's Daisy Ridley is sounding off amid all the debate whether Baby Yoda should still be admired or despised moving forward. Daisy, who is no stranger to getting caught in the middle of a raging "cancel" storm told IGN: "Look, Mando's gotta eat, Yoda's got to get strong. That's just that."

The Rey (Skywalker) actress who ended her Star Wars tenure via The Rise of Skywalker added that she wasn't all that bothered with Baby Yoda snacking on those precious eggs. "No, I'm like, 'Yoda, do your thing.' The creature [Frog Lady] got to be where she needed to be with the eggs. It's all good. It was beautiful."

I'm pretty sure backlash was the last thing the people behind The Mandalorian expected when they filmed that particular scene but it is what it is. The succeeding episode, however, did redeem The Child from his dastardly act so I guess all should be forgiven now. If I'm being honest, I didn't find anything wrong with what he did and it's quite ludicrous that fans are even fighting over it but hey, it only goes to show that even the most adorable creature in the galaxy could also be on the receiving end of cancel culture.
