Before Katee Sackhoff was slinging blasters as Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian, she was best known for playing Starbuck in the revival of Battlestar Galactica which came out back in the early 2000s. What's interesting is, Sackhoff would rather watch her new show than finish the science fiction series that made her famous.
Talking to StarWars.com, Sackhoff explained:
"I've never seen Battlestar Galactica in its entirety in the finished product… Once I watch it one time I sort of put it to bed and I move forward with the character or I put the character to bed, as well. And so it's strange for me to watch myself."
When it comes to The Mandalorian though, Sackhoff says that she would watch it all the way through despite her initial insecurities. She continues, "I will absolutely watch this. As a fan of the series and the world, I have to watch this. I have to. I have to take my own insecurities out of it and just watch the darn thing."
Though it's a bummer to some Battlestar fans that Sackhoff isn't that big a fan of her show, you can't really expect actors to be fans of the franchises that they work in. Sackhoff does go on to say that she was raised on Star Wars by her father, so it would make sense that she would want to watch a Star Wars property that she was in. If anything, there's still a lot of time for her to check out Battlestar Galactica somewhere down the line.
In the meantime, you can catch Sackhoff as Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian Season 2 now on Disney+.
