Star Wars Actress Daisy Ridley Comments On Adam Driver And His Size

Star Wars: The Last Jedi might have separated Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), but fans know that the relationship between the two is going to remain a central thread as the Star Wars sequel trilogy approaches the end with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Though Daisy Ridley isn't allowed to give away too many details about the relationship between the two (or too many details about anything that has to do with The Rise of Skywalker spoilers), the actress can certainly speak about her Star Wars co-star, Adam Driver.

Ridley just recently went on an interview with Vulture to help promote her upcoming film, Ophelia, and during the discussion, the publication got to talking about various things about Star Wars. The lead actress of Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy was asked about Driver's size – it turns out the publication wanted to know just how overwhelming the actor's presence was on set.

Though Ridley has so much respect for Driver and his work, the actress does seem to agree that the Kylo Ren star is an overwhelming presence.

"I'd describe him like a hulking, skulking … I think skulking implies something negative. But yeah. Hulking and skulking. That's how I'd describe him. It sounds so disrespectful for someone I've worked with for so long," the actress responds laughing.

Right now, fans are wondering whether or not The Rise of Skywalker will give Kylo Ren the opportunity to redeem himself. Lucasfilm presented the villain with a ray of light in The Last Jedi, and while Ben Solo decided to plunge further into the Darkness, many are hoping to see the character return to the Light in Episode IX.

Let's wait and keep our fingers crossed.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
