Lucasfilm hasn't been giving away too many details about Star Wars: Episode IX with the film in the middle of production, but Carrie Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, promises fans that they're going to have the most incredible experience heading to the movies in December next year.
Playing the sequel trilogy's Lieutenant Connix in both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Lourd is set to return to Episode IX as the Resistance tries to gather back its numbers to continue its fight against the First Order. Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the daughter of the late Carrie Fisher couldn't help but gush talking about how great the movie's going to be.
"I gotta watch myself because the Star Wars PD is going to come to get me, but it is incredible. I've read the script and I've been on set. I was on set for, like, three weeks back in September, and it is going to be magical," the actress told the publication.
That certainly adds to the hype over Episode IX. The film might be a little over a year away from its big premiere, but fans have been itching to know more about what director J.J. Abrams has prepared for everyone in the upcoming sequel to The Last Jedi. Not only is Episode IX the closing film of the trilogy, but it's also the film that's going to tie General Organa's story in the franchise. We can't wait to see all the magic of Episode IX once it hits the big screen.
Star Wars: Episode IX premieres December 20, 2019.
