There is little doubt that Star Wars is the reason why Daisy Ridley and John Boyega are now household names. But is there any chance that they will actually decide to work on another major sci-fi franchise? The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker actors had interesting answers when asked if they would consider working on a Star Trek project.
Ridley and Boyega recently spoke to Yahoo! while promoting The Rise of Skywalker and they were asked whether they would be interested in joining Star Trek now that the Skywalker Saga is over. Amazingly, Ridley was quick to admit that she is eager to be part of a new franchise.
"I would do a Star Trek," Ridley said. "I need a job. I'm unemployed, hello!"
Although the Ophelia actress didn't hesitate, Boyega wasn't as enthusiastic about jumping into a Star Trek project right away.
"They're talking too much," Boyega joked before adding that "the last Star Trek was Space Law & Order."
Although we're not sure if Boyega will eventually change his mind about being in a Star Trek film or TV series, it looks like Ridley might have some company in another The Rise of Skywalker co-star. Oscar Isaac confessed that he would want to join the franchise because he's a "space sl-t" just like director J.J. Abrams.
It is still unclear if Ridley, Boyega, and Isaac will be brought back in future Star Wars movies. Nevertheless, we're looking forward to their next projects.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is still screening in theaters worldwide.
