Star Wars Actor John Boyega Shows His Love of Naruto to Fans

It 2015, Lionsgate announced that they're working on a live-action adaptation of Naruto, and franchise creator Masashi Kishimoto was asked to help bring his anime/manga series to the big screen in 2016. If they're looking to cast actors, they should tap Star Wars actor John Boyega to star in it because he's clearly a fan.

Over on Boyega's Instagram page, fans were quick to screenshot his recent post. Boyega took a photo of his computer as he watched a recent episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The post didn't include any caption, but as a fellow Naruto fan, I think it's cool that he's watching one of the best ongoing anime series.

This isn't the first time the actor revealed his enthusiasm for Naruto. Back in 2015, while promoting Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he talked about his passion for Japanese pop culture during an interview with Rocket News 24. He said that he saw a lot of similarities between his character Finn and Naruto.

"He is a character that wants to lead and has a dream, but doesn't necessarily know how to go about it, and doesn't have the right skill set… I love [how Japanese entertainment can] capture an underdog story, and I root for underdogs," Boyega said.

If Lionsgate ever taps Boyega to star in a live-action Naruto film, he would do a badass job playing Killer Bee, the host of the Eight-Tailed Beast.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now showing in theaters.
