Star Wars Actor John Boyega Set to Return for Attack the Block Sequel

John Boyega has become a household name ever since he took part in the trilogy of Star Wars movies. The actor has also made himself a name in the film industry as the breakout performer in Attack the Block, a 2011 sci-fi film. The film is about a group of teenagers in London who are working to save their neighborhood from an alien invasion.

Many fans around the world still love to Attack the Block even after a decade of its release. Boyega also wanted to return. Now, it has been confirmed that Boyega is set to team up with Joe Cornish on a sequel.

A new report by Deadline stated that Boyega will reprise the role of Moses in Attack the Block 2 while Cornish will return as both the writer and director. Boyega and Cornish will produce the film with James Wilson and Nira Park.

Boyega revealed that his role as Moses is one of his favorite characters to play and being able to play him again is a huge honor. Cornish added that he is thrilled to announce the return of Attack the Block on the first film's 10th anniversary.
Boyega and Cornish discussed various ideas for the sequel over the years but at that time it never materialized. However, the recent announcement proved that the sequel will be moving forward.

The plot for the sequel is currently kept under wraps but Cornish said that they will bring the audiences to an even bigger slice of the inner-city alien action. Whether the sequel will expand outside London has not been confirmed.
