Star Wars & Disney Events Coming to Singapore

Star Wars fans may want to put Singapore on their list of go-to-destinations. A major project is coming to the country, and Star Wars will be in tow.

Disney has just collaborated with Singapore Tourism Board to bring Disney-related events to bring a first-of-a-kind partnership for tourism. Today Online reported that the goal of the collaboration is to bring Disney's franchises, including Star Wars, Pixar, and Marvel-themed events to the country.

"The multi-year activations will profile our attractions and precincts in Singapore, beginning with Gardens by the Bay for the Star Wars festival held in May."

Already there's a plan for May 4, Star Wars Day, to kick off a three-day festival at the Gardens by the Bay. The Supertrees will become lightsabers and completed with a music and lights show. As with any event, there will be character appearances and photo opportunities, as well as a screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

More Star Wars events are coming in the second half of the year, but we'll know later on when more details arrive.

This is interesting because it not only brings more Star Wars events to Southeast Asia, but it also plans to introduce a new way to help opportunities for event organizers and SMEs and businesses to grow.
