Star Trek: Sonequa Martin-Green Possibly Revealed Patrick Stewart's Picard Series Title

There is little doubt that people are hoping for new updates on the highly anticipated Star Trek series that will focus on Jean-Luc Picard. Luckily, Star Trek: Discovery actress Sonequa Martin-Green may have revealed the working title of the upcoming Patrick Stewart show.

Martin-Green was recently a guest on Larry King where she spoke about her own series as well as the future expansion shows on CBS All Access (via ComicBook.com). The former Walking Dead star gushed about Stewart's series and somehow dropped the show's working title.

"[Patrick Stewart] is helming his own Star Trek. It's going to be called Picard," Martin-Green revealed. "He announced his comeback recently and it was, goodness, the response was amazing. People are really happy, including me."

That's not really much of a stretch right there considering that that's exactly what people have been calling Stewart's new Star Trek show. Nevertheless, it's great to know that CBS is making it clear that the series is all about the captain of the USS Enterprise-D.

Stewart himself previously shared some interesting details about the series. The star of The Boy Who Would Be King stated that his new show would take place "exactly 19 years in the future" since he last played Picard in the television series. This would mean that the series is set in the year 2389.

Picard has not yet been given an official premiere date but is expected to air in late 2019. The second season of Star Trek: Discovery airs on CBS All Access every Thursday night.
