Star Trek Legend William Shatner Finds Himself Banned On Reddit

It looks like William Shatner's gotten himself banned on Reddit.

The Star Trek legend is a very active personality on social media, taking to Twitter and to Reddit to interact with Trekkies and to intermittently troll with the Star Wars franchise. However, it seems like Shatner's activity has managed to ban him on Reddit.

Taking to Twitter, Shatner revealed that he had decided to log back into Reddit after a long while only to discover that the r/Drama subreddit had decided to ban him. Though the Star Trek legend isn't quite sure why he was banned from the subreddit, Shatner's guessing that "some self-important mod there didn't like something I said so they banned me."

"Living up to their name!" the actor was quick to joke.

Shatner's predicament caught the attention of his followers, and fans soon commented on the thread, giving their thoughts on the matter. Some joked that the sub had already banned almost all of its members. Another fan commented that Shatner had been unbanned and had been invited to become a moderator of the subreddit.

Following up his initial tweet about the ban, Shatner told his followers that the affair didn't really bother him. Posting a screenshot of the subreddit's rules, the actor noted that he was actually glad that he was banned from the group.

Despite the issue on Reddit, Shatner seems to be in a pretty good place on Twitter. Not only is the actor busy engaging with fans and followers online, but he's also posting about a number of topics during multiple times in a day. Seems like the actor's all good in the hood, really.

Star Trek's next release, Star Trek: Picard, is expected to arrive on CBS All Access sometime during the end of 2019.
