Star Trek: Gates McFadden Expresses Hope for More Appearances After Picard Season 3


Gates McFadden made her triumphant return as Dr. Beverly Crusher in the current third and final season of Star Trek: Picard. So far, her comeback has been met with delightful responses from fans as a lot of them are glad to see her reprise the role and still as badass as she was in The Next Generation.

As the series is currently on its final run, a lot of fans have been wondering whether this is indeed the end of the road for The Next Generation crew and whether we will still see them in more projects after the series. After all, who wouldn't want to see more of them after the series ends?

Fortunately, McFadden feels the same way as most fans as she revealed in a recent interview with Screen Rant that she is also open to reprising her role again in more appearances after the current final season of Star Trek: Picard.

"Well, I would love to do more episodes of a series. I think there's something quite magical going on. And I think you can have a lot of different things that come out of it, you can break form in many ways, and have all of the characters in play," she said.

There is no doubt that at this point that Beverly Crusher has become McFadden's most iconic role in her career and she has publicly expressed her love of playing the role in the past so it is not surprising to hear that she is willing to continue portraying the character even after the series.

A lot of fans would also definitely love to see her make more Trek appearances and, depending on what will happen in the final episode of the series, there is certainly a path for her to continue playing the role. Right now, it is hard to speculate how she could play on the future of Star Trek after this. Regardless of that, there will definitely be some anticipation for it.
