Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Production Gets Shut Down After COVID-19 Exposure

There is little doubt that fans are already excited about Star Trek: Discovery Season 4. However, it looks like the wait for the series will take a little longer. A new report reveals that production has been put on hold due to COVID-19 exposure.

The fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery has been in production in Toronto for some time now. However, The Hollywood Reporter confirms that filming has been halted "for two week due to an off-set exposure to COVID-19."

According to the report, a Zone A member of the production had an interaction with a COVID-19 positive individual who is not connected to the show. However, the interaction did not take place at the Pinewoods Studios set. The production member has since gone into quarantine for 14 days.

It was not revealed whether any of the main cast members were affected. However, there is a possibility that the cast and crew are all currently in quarantine for safety.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 started production back in November 2020 and hasn't had any problems before. We're hoping that the cast and crew will be safe until filming is completed.

The fourth season of Discovery will bring back Sonequa Martin-Green as Michael Burnham who is now the new Captain of Discovery. The crew's journey has been teased in the show's trailer and there is little doubt that it's going to be an awesome adventure.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
