Star Trek Discovery Season 3 Trailer Reveals Michael Burnham's Strange New Future

What does the future hold for the Federation? The new trailer for Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 offers a few glimpses at what it could be like, and it's not looking good for Michael Burnham.

The trailer opens with Burnham gaining consciousness after what appears to be a crash. She then states that she has "spent a year searching for that domino that tipped over and started all of this."

This is obviously a strange new future where there are evil Andorians and people think that the Federation badge represents ghosts. Oh, and the Federation flag now only has six stars.

It's not all too depressing. As it turns out, Burnham and the crew of Discovery might be the key to setting things right, if they can get back on the right path. Also, I just wanted to point out that Mirror Georgiou still looks amazing although I'm a little confused why she's back in her Starfleet uniform.

The trailer was introduced by Sonequa Martin-Green at the show's New York Comic-Con 2019 panel. In addition to that, there were some new images from the third season that were shared at NYCC.

Although the trailer and images have been dropped, Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 has not yet been given an official premiere date. Although fans were hoping that the third season will be released by early 2020, there is a huge chance that Discovery will be making way for Star Trek: Picard, which has been confirmed to air on CBS All Access on January 23, 2020. With that in mind, there is a chance that Discovery will be set for a late summer premiere. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
